Decisions, decisions

It's a personal decision every girl must make - what to be for Halloween. I take this decision very seriously because, as someone who loooves dressing up, I'm not going to waste the one day a year when it's accepted and expected. A lot of thought goes into this.

This year I wanted to do something kind of girly since I've worn a bald cap two of the last three years. I pondered and pondered. Some of the ideas I came up with:

Cruella
She would be fun because of the crazy hair and make-up, and I could be nasty to everyone all day. But I just didn't feel I had the jutting cheek and hip bones to pull it off. Maybe another year.

Tammy Faye
This would be fun because I wouldn't have to worry about looking too perfect. In fact, with Tammy, I feel that the messier you look the better the costume is. But I wasn't feeling it. Would I have to cry all day? And I think this works better as a couples' costume. You know, with a Jim J Bullock. Again, I'll put this one on the shelf for now.

Daria
I love this idea, especially with my new hair cut and glasses. However, the one problem I kept running into was that unless everyone who saw me was an MTV viewer in the late 1990s, I'd have to keep explaining who I am. And that is not how Halloween costumes are supposed to work. Le sigh. I'll have to be a disenchanted, cynical teenager another year.

Which brings me to what I finally decided on. If I do say so myself, it's a great idea. I highly doubt I'll run into anyone else in this costume. Plus, it's super girly. Unfortunately, I don't reveal until the actual day, so the only other hint I'm willing to give is that it's more Tammy Faye than Cruella {in that she was a real person}. Since Halloween falls on a Saturday, I'll be wearing it to work on Friday, and I promise to post pictures. Any guesses? I might even send a prize to you if you figure it out.

And what about you, readers? What are your fabulous costume ideas? Need any help?

You are my favorite! I'm working on costumes for the kids- the older boys are getting into the age where they want to be something funny but not too dressed up. It's harder and easier all at the same time ;0). Can't wait to see what you are!
