National Poetry Month - #4

I don't have much to say about this poet, except that if you don't like him or don't consider him a poet, than you really are a silly gumple knackersnook who should hebble to the pappup memmlywoot.  He was truly a masterful wordsmith.

I still love reading his works out loud.  They're fun; they're creative; and they make me happy.

Excerpts from Dr. Seuss

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch,
Your heart's an empty hole,
Your brain is full of spiders, you have garlic in your soul, Mr. Grinch,
I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!

How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!
