When I was in high school, I took a theater trip through my school to New York City one summer. It was amazing. A.ma.Zing. One of the things we did was visit Katz Deli on the Lower East Side, where they filmed an infamous scene from "When Harry Met Sally." The guys behind the counter were very nice, and you could tell they were accustomed to tourists stopping by. So they asked us where we were from. Someone in our group told them Utah. One of the guys scratched his head, looked us over and said, "Utah? Utah? Well, welcome to America!"
And even though not everyone in that city knows about my home, I sure love visiting that place. I've made a trip every year for the past four years. It's a tradition I hope to keep. This year was especially sweet since I got to go with two of my sisters {the third thought she should stay and go to her law school classes - silly girl}. We had a terribly wonderful time, as evidenced in the huge number of photos that follow {really, there's a lot - be prepared}. We went on a food tour, shopped, looked at priceless art, ate great food, shopped, laughed and even caught a show or two. It was so great being in one of my favorite places with a couple of my all-time favorite people. I can't wait until I get to go again.
